WHAT WE DO
Manta Wind develops a new floating wind turbine system which is significantly more material-efficient than existing solutions. We can reduce the LCOE by 50% which is achieved by a staggering 70% weight reduction!
OFFSHORE WIND POWER TODAY
Most offshore wind has to date been built on shallow water. The majority of the pontential is however in water depths of more then 60 meters. Therefore, floating turbines are needed but have been to expensive. Until now!

THE SOLUTION
We use a vertical axis topology due to the added benefits it gives in design of rest of the system. Buoyancy and stability are the main particulars of a floating wind turbine. We solve these in an entirely new way which is the key to our disruptive weight reduction. We can also persist higher accelerations due to the lack of both a tower and a nacelle. The hub of the rotor is instead located on top of deck of the buoyancy column and the rotor blades are attached to the hub by a hinge joint.
